General Instructions
Check the batch number
Avoid batch mixing of material during installation of tiles. (Tiles inherently have
color
variations among batches)
Don't allow the bed (Sand +Cement) for longer tiles as it may result in lack of
bonding between bed and tiles.
Make the Machan i.e Mortar in cement & sand as per site's requirement. As per ISO Cement
1: Sand 4 should be their.
Don't lay Wall Tiles without immersing in water ideally for 4 Hrs
Don't install the tiles too close as this causes popping-up of tiles. (tiles need some
space to breath)
Don't use metal hammer for tapping the tiles.
Don't leave extra grouting material on the surface of tiles. It must be wiped off with
wet sponge.
Don't use Hydrofluoric acid and its derivative for cleaning of the tiles.
Procedure Of
Laying Vitrified Tiles
Steps
Check the batch number
Take out the tiles from the boxes
Make the cement sullury in 1 lit water: 1.5 kg cement
Make the Machan i.e Mortar in cement & sand as per site's requirement. As per ISO Cement
1: Sand 4 should be their.
Check the Arrow mark which is back side of the tile.
Start laying. All tiles arrow mark should be in one direction and with 2-3mm Spacer
Check the tile's joint properly by hammering wooden hammer only.
Finish the laying all full tiles i.e. 600x600mm leaving cutting part
After completion of all tile's work, Put some water & wait. Water goes inside the
bedding part through tile's joints & Wait set the tiles.
Note
Tiles
laying
with Spacer keeps safe from many problems like, Expans & Contraction of tiles as well as
expansion and contraction of bedding materials, vibration in floor due to heavy vehicle
runs
near road sid building and from light quake.
Wall Tile Laying
Instructions
Instructions
Before Fixing, the tiles must be soaked in clean water for about 1-2 hours. Drain
the tile to ensure there is no film of water on the tile surface. Soaking of the tile is
not required in case of fixing with chemical adhesive.
Before fixing tiles lay them in a designed pattern to ensure that they give an
acceptable blend of colour/shade.
Please note Shade & Size Variation are inherent in all ceramic products. THE COMPANY
WILL BEAR NO LAIBILITY FOR WHATSOEVER REASON AFTER TILES ARE FIXED.
The wall surface is to be rough plastered using mortar composed of one part of cement
& three parts of sand. Do not fix the tiles on the fresh surface. Ensure the rendering &
curing atleast 2 weeks prior to tilling.
Make the Machan i.e Mortar in cement & sand as per site's requirement. As per ISO Cement
1: Sand 4 should be their.
At the time of fixing the tiles, apply a thin coat of the cement slurry on the rough
plastered surface. Never use Grade-53 Cement for fixing the tiles.
Start laying. All tiles arrow mark should be in one direction and with 2-3mm Spacer
For the mortar to be used on the backside of the tile, Use cement & sand mortar in
the ratio 1: 2. Do not use neat cement as it may lead to crack in the future due to
development of the stress etc. in tiles, for which company will not be responsible.

(1) Checking the Batch number on the box.
(2) Checking the Cement-43-Grade.
(3) Soaking the tiles atleast 2 hours.
(4) Don't dry(full) the tiles after soaking.
(5) Use only fine sand in cement paste i.e.20%.
(6) Make cement paste by adding 20% fine sand.
(7) Put cement paste on the back side of the tiles i.e.100% surface.
(8) Fix the tile on the wall as per level of the wall.
(9) Fix the second tile by putting the spacer of 2mm between the tiles.
(10) Fix the tiles as per instruction & complete the wall.
Leave 1mm or 2mm gap between the tiles to allow for expansion.
Tiles so placed on the mortar bed should be tapped gently to ensure total mortar
contact.
The sealing of the joints should be carried out minimum 24 hours after fixing the
tiles.
Fifteen minutes after grouting process, wipe off the excess grout with damp sponge &
polish the tiles with soft & dry cloth.
For cleaning the tiles, use water or dilute soup solution followed by water with
soft moist cloth for sponge. Do not scrub or scratch. (Especially for luster finish wall
tiles & border tiles)
Do not use ACID/ALKALI/SOLVENT/OIL/CLEANING POWDER ETC for cleaning the tiles.
(Especially for luster finish wall tiles & border tiles)
